Kirk has been doing his usual great job scanning results sheets from up and down the country and has compiled a list of EAC results for March. A lot of races and a lot of runners, with some outstanding results and wins in there – including the EAC Woman’s team now being Scottish Champions in the Road Relays. National Young Athletes Road Racing Championships, Riccarton 17th March 2013

With lots of club members at Inverness, Alloa , Amsterdam and the Kilomothon even the attraction of this silver trophy could not make for a big field. There were six previous winners , namely, Blair, Howie, Bailie, Mortimer, Laird and MacEwen at the start line for this handicap event as well as many others who stood an equal chance of being first back. All were rewarded with some quality chocolate eggs but there was only one winner. (more…)

English Age group Championships
Ben Robbins won Gold in the 400m in a time of 48.91
Michael Olsen ran 7.21 to win a bronze medal in the 60m and 23.36 for in the 200m for another Bronze.
Freddie Rooke was 4th in the 60m.
Emma Nuttall jumped 1.85m to move into second place in the Scottish all-time indoor list.
British University Championships Sheffield
Emily Stewart won Bronze in the 1500.
Sarah Warnock again jumped over 6.00m in the long jump with 6.03m
