Livingston AC are organising an open graded meeting on the evening of Wednesday 29 May.
Open graded meetings are where you enter an event and will be seeded so that you compete against athletes of a similar standard. Any athlete aged from 9 years up to seniors/masters can take part. This is an ideal chance to get a time, distance or height, particularly if you missed the Lothian Trials. Your results will go into the club ranking lists which help team managers to pick teams for the league matches. It also gives you the opportunity to experiment in events that you don’t normally do.

Div 1 and Div II have switched times, Div II are now in the morning session and Div I in the afternoon.  It would be good if everyone could be there for the start of your competition  to support your team, you should be there an hour before your event to allow warm up time. It is also useful because if you are there early, you may be able to compete in an event should someone be unable to attend at the last minute.

You will find instructions on how to get to Grangemouth Stadium under the ‘fixtures and direction’ tab on this site. I will bring vests and red shorts/pants for girls on the day for anyone who does not have kit yet – £10 each. We won Match 1 – so bring on Match 2!

All track athletes should be looking to enter the East District Championships – the competition is at Meadowbank so for most of you there is not much travel involved. This is your chance to pick your event(s), get good competition and go for a new personal best.
Age Groups  -  U14, U16, U18 U20 and Senio

Closing Dates: Postal and Telephone Closing date: Friday 10 May 2013, Online Closing date: Sunday 12 May 2013, Online and postal is the preferred method of entry. No late entries will be accepted.

First the bad news, we had to cancel our long standing Scottish Gas 5k and 10k races this year which were planned for 5th August. Scottish Athletics moved their JogScotland Edinburgh Event to clash with ours and we just couldn’t compete with their resources. However…… the good news is that we have now found an alternative date and we have relaunched for later in the year, on 22nd September. So stick that date in your diaries and full details will follow shortly.

Youth Development League, Grangemouth, Sunday 5th May.
The inside tracks at Grangemouth have been repaired and the Youth Development League will now be held there.

The attached leaflet gives details of the events and timetable – you enter on the night.  Remember to put your Scottish Athletic number on the form.
I would encourage all athletes who have not ran yet to enter or others to get a new pb (personal best)  and attend these events in the future.

JSB Plumbing Forth Valley League Saturday 27th April.

The first meeting of the Forth Valley League takes place on Saturday at Grangemouth, please report at least 45 minutes before your first event and remember to bring your club vest.

See below for a link to the Entry Form for the Edinburgh & Lothian Trials and a Provisional Timetable. The Timetable will be adjusted to suit entries received. Entries close on Friday 29th March 2013, Late entries cannot be accepted.
For EAC athletes the results will have a bearing on the selection of the early League Matches. If you are unable to take part for any reason, then let me know if you wish to be considered for the SWAL Match at Meadowbank on 21st April. If you wish to be considered for any of the other Leagues please let your relevant Team Manager know.
