Our female young athletes team had a very successful day at the Scottish Cross Country Relay Championships. Faye Kearney(U13) had an excellent first leg handing over in 4th place. Sam Blair (U15) held 4th handing over to Lauren Stoddart (U17). Lauren had a fantastic last leg overtaking Fife and then passing Dundee just before the finishing line to give the team silver medal. Lauren’s time was 2nd fastest in the U17 age group. (See photo in Gallery 2006 Junior Selection section)

Our senior men’s team (Mark Mitchell, Kris Gauson, Grant Stewart and Yoann Colombet) finished in 5th place. Our ‘B’ team (Robert Riddell, Neil Thin, Sean Wilkinson and Roger Alsop) was the 3rd placed Vet’s team. We had two women’s teams finishing 31st (Joanne Whitehead, Sharyn Ramage & Marietta van der Linden) and 34th ( Debra Murray, Cath Ferry & Faye McManus). Unfortunately we were unable to field a male young athletes team due to a lack of U13 boys – this was partly due to clashes with other sports and the Scottish Primary Schools Road Relay Championships.
