Scottish Inter-District 10k Road Championship 3rd May
The inaugural Scottish Inter-District 10k Champs will be held on Sunday 3rd May and will be incorporated with the popular Bupa Great Edinburgh Run.
Teams will be selected on current form but with particular emphasis being paid to the National Men’s 6 stage and Women’s 4 stage relays taking place at Livingston on Saturday 4th April.
The club encourages all athletes to turn out for the relays so that we can field as strong a team as possible for this and thus select a strong squad for the inaugural 10k Inter-District championship. Those interested in running should contact Alex McEwan (men) or Marietta Beal (women).

Scottish Indoor League Finals and Relays
Scottish Indoor League Finals and Relays – Kelvin Hall, 15 March 2009
It was a hectic day at the SAIL finals with 13 of our teams qualifying for the finals and the relays also taking place. Our athletes had a great day with 45 PBs or season’s best performances. In the relays our U20 men set a new Scottish U20 club record with a time of 1.31.11, just missing the U20 national record by 0.2sec.
In the team events our U13 girls did exceptionally well, taking both 1st and 2nd places as well as taking gold in the relay.
Many thanks also to all those who support the league from officials (experienced and new) and to parents/grandparents and friends.
As mentioned previously it cost £480 to enter teams plus 4 buses each time costing a total of £1,100. We managed to collect £900 which is a great help towards the overall costs. So a big thank you to the Bank of Mum and Dad!
Team Managers
Yvonne Jones and Keith Ridley
PS If anyone is willing to assist by way of sponsorship/monies to any league that the Club participate in this would be gratefully appreciated (even small donations help).
