Aim for a PB at the Scottish 10k road championships on 14th June

This year the Scottish 10k champs is being held at the Vale of Leven Polaroid 10k  Road Race on 14th of June.  To find out more about this race go here, though its worth noting that there is a limit of 1100 on this race and its filling up fast.

EAC will pay entry to this championship race for those runners who can achieve club standards.  This is sub 36.00 for men and sub 38.30 for women.  There are medals for first men’s and women’s teams and medals for first, second and third men and women and masters men and women (over 35 for both).

Even if runners can’t make the club standard the quality of the field at this race make PB’s much more likely.

The second Junior League match resulted in an emphatic win for Team Edinburgh by nearly 40 points. Hannah Evenden was a double winner with a pb in the shot and a season’s best in the discus. There was a big pb for Allan Hamilton in winning the long jump with 6.86m, a 20cm improvement. The men’s 4 x 400 relay team had a runaway win finishing over 6 seconds and  more than 50m ahead of Liverpool in the excellent time of 3.19.06.
