Relay Championships

cc relay champs 2009-2010 a
Scottish Cross Country Relay Championships

Young Athletes.
A superb performance by the young Females winning the Scottish Relays.
We very narrowly missed out in taking 3rd.  Finishing 1st,4th,& 7th three teams in the first 10.
I have checked back on the results that I have and I do not think that it has been done before.
Emma Dunnett gained the fastest lap followed by Emily Dudgeon.

The young Males finished in 12th place & 23rd, they were missing one or two people who were on holiday, but the boys that were there ran well.
Josh Kerr was the 5th fastest u-13  and Jake Kerr 7th fastest u15.
Well done to all.

Jonathan’s Hill Update 25/10/09

Hi Folks, In case you hadn’t realised this is the OMM weekend. For older readers this is still known as the Karimor – the event where you wish you could Kariless (yes, ok, I know its an old joke). Nevertheless, there are two things in common for this weekend.

1) The clocks go back or forward or whatever it is. What this means is that its a lot darker for the next few months.

2) Those in the know will not plan anything outdoors this weekend. The KIMM is famous for provding weather of biblical proportions – well maybe last year was at the ‘bad’ end of the scale, but ‘normal’ is still pretty diabolical. (more…)

Wednesday Lunchtime Training Run

Are you based in the centre of Edinburgh? can you get out running at lunchtime? Are you interested in a brisk 7 mile run on Wednesday’s at 12.15?

A few EAC runners have started a regular ‘Wednesday’ training run starting from Bristo Square (outside McEwan Hall) at 12.15. The route is almost exactly 7 miles long, going down Middle Meadow Walk, heading out via the Grange to Kings Buildings, following the KB4 route through the Hermitage, before heading back to the starting point.

For the exact route, see http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3275310

The run takes about 50 minutes (approx 7 min/mile), plus whatever you need to add on to get to the starting point from your work!

If anyone would like to join in, you are more than welcome. You can just turn up, but you might be best e-mailing me to say you will be there, just incase there are any last minute changes.
