Club Annual Awards
Club Annual Awards, Meadowbank, Tuesday 2nd November at 7.30pmThe committee invites all members, their parents and coaches to the above event.
Certificates and awards will be presented for the Cross – Country Championships and Track and Field Championships for 2010 up to the U17 age group.
Light refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity to purchase/order club strips. Other items of kit will be on display and if you have any items of outgrown kit that you wish to donate to the club please bring these along

Club of the Year
Scottish Athletics Annual Awards, Marriott Hotel Glasgow, 30th October.
The club was awarded Scottish Club of the Year at the Annual Awards ceremony in Glasgow, this year it was a joint award with Orkney AC also receiving an award.
Jay Younger is Bank of Scotland Under 17 Athlete of the Year.
Yvonne Jones was awarded Volunteer of the Year for Services to Athletics.
Marjory Cook and Bill Grantwere awarded Honorary Life Membership to Scottish Athletics for their services to Scottish Athletics as Officials.
Other people nominated for awards were:
Tom Holligan, Bank of Scotland Under 17 Athlete of the Year.
Keith Ridley, Athletic Development Coach.
Bill Walker, Athletic Development Coach.
Derek Cogle, Participation Coach of the Year.
So award yourselves a round of applause for helping the club achieve this award.

The EAC Road Race Ranking spreadsheets have been updated 02/11/10 to reflect recent results, see links below. The spreadsheets are also available via the ‘Rankings’ tab at the top of the website.
There are still lots of times and names missing, we need your help to fill in the gaps, so please send me a note of any updates and corrections or add a comment and I’ll pick it up from there.

Endurance Squad Weekend Workouts 29/10/10
We have a rest from cross country this weekend so we will see all the usual endurance training sessions: On Saturday, meet at 10.00am at the Meadows Pavilion for a speed session. On Sunday at 9.00am its a long slow distance run from Craiglockhart Tennis Centre running out via the Canal path and Water of Leith to Balerno and further if required. Have a great weekend of running.

Unfortunatly Scott is unable to take her through.

The Annual General Meeting of Edinburgh Athletic Club will be held on Tuesday 22nd November 2010 in Lounge 3 at Meadowbank Sports Centre at 7.30pm.
