Review of 2010 by slopak
What better way to while away that recovery rest time than by reliving a few running memories from the year and reviewing what the rest of the club has been up to over the year. Here is a whistle-stop tour of the calendar year and only shows some of the many successes we’ve had as a club this year at a wide range of distances and across Scotland, the UK and beyond! (more…)

EAC MacDonald Handicap Race – Postponed
Unfortunately another race has become a casualty of the weather. Our MacDonald Handicap race scheduled for 27/12/10 has now been postponed and will be rescheduled when the weather improves. Apologies for yet another race call off, but with the current ice and slippy conditions and freezing temperatures forecast to remain next week, conditions are too dangerous to ask runners to race on.

Hurdling Scotland
I apologise that we had to cancel the last session at such short notice; this was due to adverse weather in many parts of Scotland – which is still an issue – so safety for those travelling was the main concern.
Next – proposal for the next session – considering that we will be in to championship season – we normally ask Ian Tatton to come along; Gary McCracken mentioned a young starter also wishing to attend to get some more experience - so my suggestion is to do Championship Prep Session over 3 hurdles from gun!… Intermediate hurdlers can join in OR do some work on alternate legs (we can finalise detail closer to the session)
Dates: Can I propose the 16th Jan or the 30th Jan

EAC Paarlauf 21/12/10 – Cancelled
Unfortunately the weather has claimed another event. The track at Meadowbank is closed and we will not be able to organise the paarlauf tonight.
I know there will be a lot of disappointed Santa’s out there as many of you were looking forward to this fun training session. However, bring your festive outfits along on Thursday to the Meadows as the Thursday evening session will also be a paarlauf and should hopefully be going ahead regardless of the weather conditions.
Other race updates:- Beecraigs race at Linlithgow on 26th Dec has been cancelled; Greenmantle Dash is on 3rd Jan (not 2nd as previously listed).
