We have agreed to extend the application process for the Edinburgh Leisure PAS Scheme to athletes in the Under 15 age group during 2010 season.

2011 Road Race Rankings – End March
The road race season has now well and truly stated with a number of races over the past few weeks.
The rankings below have been updated following these results and they are showing a good number of EAC PBs. Obviously all the winter training is paying off!
I have added a couple of columns on the “By Athlete” tab of the spreadsheet that gives details of the number of PBs run this year.

There is a national athletic’s officials training day being held at Grangemouth on Saturday 14th May 2011.
There is something for officials of all levels, from the inexperienced to the long in the tooth! No matter how long you’ve been involved in the athletics officiating there is always something new to learn.

Reflections on Marathon Training by slopak
I was casting an eye over recent results and evaluations from the EAC athletes who are training for London and Edinburgh, some of whom were at the Alloa Half marathon. Comments I hear included delighted, pleased with huge PB and awesome.
Overall there are some really positive results, beneficial training programmes and constructive reflections on races. On the other hand we would not be human if there were not some niggly areas when members are not training at their best, but this can be turned around in the long term. (more…)
