Less than a week to go until the EAC Scottish Gas 5k and 10k Road Races but there is still time to be part of this great summer of sport and join the hundreds who have already signed up. The races are on Sunday 5^th August, the same day as the Olympic Marathon, so what better way to start the day than with your own race, before then heading home to cheer on Freya Murray. The course is reasonably flat with fast times possible, so whether you are aiming for a PB or just to complete it, this race is for you. We are keeping our fingers crossed for sunshine on the day, but everyone will have an enjoyable and fun day regardless.           

Once again we have managed to put together a superb goody bag for all finishers which includes a Brooks technical fabric t-shirt, Scottish Gas water bottle, kit bag, as well as the usual banana and energy bar, absolutely superb value for your race entry fee.        

The main race is the 10k and at the top end of the field there will be approximately £700 worth of prizes including 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, 1^st V40 and 1^st Team in both Male and Female categories. There will be a prize for the first JogScotland runner to finish and also a prize of a pair of Brooks shoes for the best run from an Edinburgh Athletic Club member (not necessarily the first across the line, we will have to get our calculators out after the race for that one!).
