The funeral of Angus Scott will be at Mortonhall Crematorium on Tuesday 14th August at 2.00pm
Angus, a long term member of Edinburgh Athletic Club, was for many years the organiser of the ‘Octavian Relays’ event and of the still continuing popular Berwick Law Race. He held various positions on the Executive committee of the Club including President, Secretary and Honorary Treasurer. Angus being a Track Referee Grade spent many years officiating at matches of all levels and was of great assistance to the Club. He retained his support together with his family through membership of our ’200 Club’. Outwith the Club, he continued to do good work as an active supporter of ‘Riding for the Disabled’ of which his son Brian was an enthusiastic member.
Angus is survived by his wife Sheena and their two sons John and Brian. Sheena and Brian have been loyal helpers of Edinburgh Athletic Club and athletics in general, by working at many events over many years, including Championships and Internationals. John made his contribution as a long serving, dependable, high quality and very successful 800m performer for EAC.
