Alisha Breaks 50 year old Scottish Record

ALISHA REES LANDS WOMEN’S 100m MARK !

Great news from a meeting at Dagenham and two fine performances from Alisha Rees.In her opening meet of the outdoor season, Alisha clocked 11.39 to break the Scottish Women’s 100m Record which has stood for almost 50 years since former Edinburgh Southern Harrier Helen Golden ran 11.40 in 1974

.In a second race, Alisha clocked an 11.34 windy run to complete a great day. The legal 11.39 is inside the 11.41 qualifying standard asked by Team Scotland for the Commonwealth Games.
Well done to Alisha and her family and coach Leon Baptiste.*Thanks to Beth Dobbin for the photo
