Callum Newby (Edinburgh) chalked up a big victory with 6878 points in his first under-20 decathlon, thanks to a discus PB to add to his two bests from the opening day. Fellow Scot Adam Hoole (East Lothian) scored 6309, while Patrick Morgan (Hereford) was third with 6206.

Well done to the Scottish cohort who competed in the England Athletics CE Champs over the weekend, there was a fine 1-2 in the U20 Decathlon event for Calum Newby of Edinburgh AC and Adam Hoole of Team East Lothian.

Cal McLennan was top U23 athlete and fifth overall with Matt Chandler third U23 and eighth overall. Howard Bell was fourth in the Senior Decathlon.
