Edinburgh AC Virtual 10K

EAC Grand Prix: 10k Race 3 – Final Results

The number crunching is done for another weekend and the 10k results have now been finalised.

There is another nice variety of routes covered by a highly impressive 65 participants, with a good mix of max efforts, tempos, fartleks and fun running which was great to see. Every run is a good run as they say so give yourself a bit on the back to go along with the virtual points now added to your total.

Fastest run this time was recorded by Neil Renault at the death, getting himself out to the Meadows late on Thursday to net a time of 33:23 and get maximum points to edge past Stuart Johnston at the top of the Male leader board.

Lauren Wilson again netted the fastest Female time, looping round Duddingston golf course in an impressive 37:32 to close the gap on Chloe Cox at the top of the Female leader board down to just 3 points at the halfway stage.
Lots of movement at the top of the handicap, where the lead seemed to change every time I refreshed the tables! After netting a second consecutive pb in the series with a highly impressive time of 34:48 Robin Kyle now leads the standings, although it’s all very tight with just 10 points separating the top five.

I do love a random graph, so for this week’s special I’ve plotted a bar chart comparing performances across the 3 distances so far – seems like 1 mile is the squads preferred distance!

Hopefully all the issues were ironed out with the tweaks I’ve made since yesterday, although if anything looks out just let me know.

Next week is a rest week until we get back to the short stuff with a 2 mile blast – hopefully the momentum keeps going and we get another great “virtual” turnout for that one too.
