Jake Wightman was 4th in the 800m Final in a time of 1:45.82, Jake was in with a real chance of a medal until the last few metres. Jake now goes on to the 1500m even more determined.

 

 

 

Hollly McArthur had a great start in the first day of the Heptathlon, starting in the Hurdles with  a 6th place and a time of 14.17 then PB’s in the High Jump 1.69m and the Shot Put 11.5m, In the final event of the day the 200m Holly was 9th with a time of 25.50

 

 

Lynsey Sharp missed  out on qualifying for the 800m Final in the Gold Coast,  Lynsey competing in Heat 3 was 4th with a time of 2:01.33 which was a seasons best, but not enough to qualify as a fastest loser.

Lynsey may have another chance of a medal if she is selected for the 4x400m team
