Just a huge thank to everyone for their efforts so far this year on what has so far been an outstanding one for the club.   With the championships “season” still to come over the next  2 weekends this is just a wee reminder of some of the highlights so far but I am aware there have been many more – all acknowledged on the club web site:

– a silver medal from Lynsey Sharp in the 800 in Glasgow
– excellent performances from our 8 other representatives in Glasgow and there a great picture
collage of them all on the website.
– Won the Forth Valley League Division 1
– Won the Scottish Women’s league
– Won the Northern Premier Division of the YDL upper age group and head to the finals in Birmingham on 7th September
– Won the Scottish Final of the YDL lower age group and head to the finals in Birmingham on 6th September
– Won the UK women’s league and head to Amsterdam next year as UK’s representative in the European Club Championship Final

This success does not “come easy” and as a committee we are looking to “share the load” and on our agenda for our meeting on Monday is how we progress with setting up “sub committees” to deal with:
coaching
officiating
fund raising
publicity
team management
parents
event organisation
induction
transport and hotel bookings
and other areas I am sure I have missed out!!!

These areas are all dealt with extremely  efficiently by the people currently involved but we would like to “widen the net” and try to ensure that we have more people on board!!

Any suggestions, willingness to help out in any area, most gratefully received before Monday and I will share with the committee.
