ukwomens leagueThe first match of the UK Women’s League Premier Division took place in Swansea at the weekend, despite having a depleted team Edinburgh AC Senior Women finished in 4th place only 11 points behind first placed Thames Valley.
Our top performer of the meeting was new recruit 17 year old Alisha Rees, with a second place in the 100m with a time of 11.73 and a first in the 200m with 23.64 which is a qualifying time for the World Under 20 Championships.
Other notable performances came in the Hammer (Susan McKelvie and Hannah Eveden) and the Long Jump (Sarah Warnock and Rachel Robertson) with firsts in both A and B strings.
