It was another 6^th place finish for Edinburgh AC ladies in the second match of the UK women’s’ league at Eton on Saturday.  
In near perfect conditions there were some excellent individual performances with pride of place going to Courtney Macguire, who won the A string Pole Vault with a 4.16 clearance.  This was a new club record and takes Courtney to 2^nd on the Scottish all time list.  
The other individual win came from Lauren Stoddart, who won the S/chase in 6.54.40. 
In her first competition wearing an Edinburgh strip and following in the footsteps of both mum, Fiona and dad Ewan, Kirsten McAlslan was delighted to record a season’s best time of 57.45 and was just pipped on the line.  Stacey Downie, Hannah Cameron, Mhairi Patience and Kirsten backed up their good individual performances with a 2^nd place in the 4x400M relay.

Glasgow 2014 athlete Sarah Warnock finished 2^nd in the A Long Jump with a solid 6.04 performance but fellow teammate Emma Nuttall was disappointed with her 3^rd place and a 1.75 clearance in the High Jump, having looked very good in warm up.  Another Glasgow 2014 high jumper Jayne Nisbet made a welcome return to the team but this time in the 1500 and 3000M, where she gained valuable team points. 

There were 3^rd place finishes in the B 400MH for Mhairi Patience, in the A 800 for Hannah Cameron, Stacey Downie in the 400M A string and Avril Jackson in the 400B string event.

The team management would like to thank all the athletes for their efforts on Saturday and again thanks to the officials, who travelled with the team and ensured maximum points for the team. 

It is onwards and hopefully upwards to the final match in Birmingham, where we will be fighting hard to move out of the relegation zone and secure our place in the Premier Division for next season.
