Competitions
We compete throughout the year across all formats. The schedules below show the competitions we target. There are plenty more events available via the Scottish Athletics website For target events , athletes must be a member of the club, Scottish Athletics and wear a club vest.
Over the summer our teams compete in the Forth Valley League, Youth Development League and the Scottish National Athletic League. We also provide athletes for Glasgow Jaguars to compete in the UK National Athletic League.

Senior Road Race Grand Prix
Every year there is a club grand prix across the season to encourage participation over the season. Winners are announced at the annual dinner
Track & Field 2025
Forth Valley League
The Forth Valley League provides healthy competition for U11 – U15 athletes in clubs from East Lothian, West Lothian, Edinburgh, Fife, Borders and Central Scotland. It is a development league so a good first competition experience. http://forthvalleyleague.org.uk/
Youth Development League
(Lower Age Group – U13/15)
We compete in Division 1 U13 – U15 (Scotland) of the lower age group Youth Development League. There are three league matches followed by the Scottish final. The winner of that final qualifies for the UK final.
Scottish National Athletic League (Snal)
This is a league for Senior, U17, U20 athletes and Masters (over 35s) All athletes in these age groups will receive a link to self-enter before the start of the outdoor season. EAC finished runners up in the 2023 season.
Scottish Athletics Outdoor Relay Championships
Teams are selected and coached by team managers/coaches.
Scottish National Open Championships
Competitions for individual athletes U13 - Seniors and Masters). These events are by pre-entry and Championship medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed athletes. See Scottish Athletics website. www.scottishathletics.org.uk
National Athletics League
This is a UK league offering an excellent pathway for Senior and U20 athletes. EAC supports members by encouraging them to register and pays annual subs for any athletes selected to travel and compete for Glasgow Jaguars, who currently compete in the Premier Division of this league. Scottish Athletics Indoor Relay Championships
Indoor relays cater for U13, 15, 17 and Senior/U20. Athletes are invited selected to participate.
Scottish Athletics Indoor League (SAIL)
The league is held in the Emirates Arena, Glasgow and caters for athletes in the U11 - U20 age groups. The league is structured into a morning and afternoon session to accommodate the number of Clubs taking part. Edinburgh AC compete in the afternoon.
