Some great results from our athletes atthe Anniversary Games, starting with BethDobbin 3rd in the 200m with a new National Record time of 22.50.
Jake Wightman camewithin touching distance of the 37-year-old Scottish mile record, claiming 3rd place, Jake produced a PB of3:52.02 in the Emsley Carr Mile, making him second-fastest Scot on the all-timelist over that distance, behind the long-standing record of 3:50.64, set byGraham Williamson in 1982 (Williamson also ran the 2nd and3rd fastest Scottish miles,giving Jake now the claim to 4th fastest mile by a Scot overall).
Chris O’Hare took 7th place in 3:53.35, with Josh Kerr 8th in 3:53.88 .
Lynsey Sharp got the win and a season’s best in the 800m, crossingthe line in 1:58.61, showing a steady progression after her 1:58.76 finishin Monaco earlier this month.
