European MastersMountain Championships

European Masters Mountain Championships, Madiera, 6 November.

Scottish Veterans Harrier Sue Ridley was undaunted by any conditions, she won the W55 8.5km run and was the only British Masters member, male or female, to toe the line at 07.30 for the daunting 31km Mountain Trail over a beautiful but tricky stony course made slippery by overnight rain.  Only 18 men and 8 women finished, Sue also won the 31km W55 race.
