What a great result from our ladies yet again!!

The ladies of Edinburgh Athletic Club are a great example of what being part of a team should be about. To come a close second to City of Manchester / Sale and with all their international stars is absolutely brilliant. Yes, we have our own international and national calibre athletes but what we don’t have is prima donnas. Our athletes all muck in and contribute in events thev would rather not for the benefit of the team. The same cannot be said by the so called high flyer clubs in the league.

Great respect to Anne Scott, the Team Manager, she always gets the team up and motivated. I’ve listened to her team meetings – she is trully inspirational – What else can explain the results thus far!!!!!!!!

Any young female athlete or the parent of one who has aspirations of making their mark in athletics, you would do well to take in a UK Women’s League Match. You will see the big stars, you will see the effort, you will acknowledge the quality, but most of all you will appreciate that with dedication and application it might be you who wins the gold medal!
