“Emily Dudgeon claimed a sixth place finish in the World Juniors 800m final in Barcelona.
The young Scot was in the race for the medals until the last 100 metres or so as American Ajee Wilson and GB’s Jessica Judd broke clear.
Wilson edged the English girl with Emily finishing in sixth from the nine finalists with a time of 2.04.68.
Three races in three days took a toll after a fast first lap in the Olympic stadium with Edinburgh AC’s Dudgeon having set a PB the night before in winning her semi-final in 2.02.32.”
