Recognizing the achievements of our Young Athletes at a recent meeting of the City of Edinburgh Council, the following was included in the Council minutes:

“Council notes the success of Team Edinburgh, comprising athletes from Edinburgh, Lasswade and Corstorphine Athletics Clubs, in winning the National Under 17 and Under 20 Finals of the UK Athletics Youth Development League in Birmingham on 7 September 2014 against other top teams from across the UK.
Council also notes that the Edinburgh Athletics Club under 13 and under 15 age groups came first in the Scottish League Final and finished fourth in the UK Final in Birmingham.

Council thanks all the coaches and team managers involved and gives special congratulations to all the young athletes whose hard work and dedication to training throughout the year has resulted in such an outstanding result.”
