Athletes are invited to apply for the Performance Access Scheme. Applications close on Friday 2nd March 2012.
Edinburgh Leisure and City of Edinburgh Council are committed to supporting our promising athletes of today and our stars of tomorrow. The Performance Access Scheme (PAS) provides talented athletes, including those with additional support needs, with subsidised access to sporting facilities. PAS is designed to support athletes achieve their aspirations.
Selection Process for Athletics:
Athletes must be nominated through the National Governing Body of sport and the number of athletes selected to benefit from the programme is limited by the financial resources available to fund the scheme. Up to 40 athletes can be nominated to Edinburgh Leisure by scottishathletics.
Athletes are therefore invited to apply, through scottishathletics, to be considered for the Edinburgh Leisure Performance Access Scheme.
Places will be allocated in consultation with the Edinburgh Athletics Partnership and the final decision will be made by scottishathletics.
Applications close on Friday 2nd March 2012. No late applications will be accepted.
The 40 successful athletes will receive a letter and pass from Edinburgh Leisure before the 1st April 2012.
Passes are valid for one year starting on 1st April and in October the usage of cards will be reviewed and any un-used cards will be reallocated after discussion with the athlete.
Terms and conditions apply to all PAS holders and can be viewed at www.edinburghleisure.co.uk
