Help Required

EAC Fund Raisers
Help is required for two races which are good fund raisers for the club.
The races are:

1. 10k Road Race
This is on Sunday 7th August starting at 1000 hrs from the usual Scottish Gas HQ on Waterfront Avenue . Please note this is an earlier time than usual.

Can you please volunteer to help on the day?
We provide a steward vest and a little lunch. You are helping club raise funds and assisting the participants with a safe, enjoyable experience

We will meet at Scottish Gas HQ prior to the race for briefing and deployment by 0900 hrs. Emma Laverie will be chumming Garry
If you can help at this, email

We need about thirty helpers to steward the course and at the finish area.
You should be finished by 1200 hrs including lunch

2. North Berwick Law Race
A lovely midweek race at height of visitor season.
This short race is on Wednesday 3rd August.
Martin Ferguson will look after a small band of stewards on this 2 mile course.
Car drivers get some petrol money from Barry Craighead on the night.
Briefing at 1800 hours at RNLI building at the Harbour.
If you can help here please let Fergie know on

My thanks in advance .

thanks for putting this up, derek.

The club put on a great show at UKWAL meet last saturday : “UK Womens’ League- Meadowbank-2nd July 2011

I believe that the Club should be congratulated on the success of this afternoons match. It appeared to me to go exceedingly well. I knew a few visiting athletes and a number of visiting officials and I know that they were impressed with the quality of the organisation and the smooth running of the whole ‘show’ ”

so lets keep it up with these races on 3rd and 7th and of course our Highland Games on saturday 13 th august . busy busy
