JSB Plumbing Forth Valley League
Another success from our young athletes in winning the JSB Plumbing Forth Valley League Div I. As well as being overall winners in the league, they were also first in the Track and first in the Field events.
We run two teams in this league and our Division II team finished 5th in the league. This year in order to give more athletes a chance to compete, we made a concerted effort to try and avoid using our first, second and third stream athletes and were very happy that we still retained the title.
Over the season 92 athletes competed for us and of these 36 were competing for the Club for the first time.
Some athletes who took part, compete in the Young Athletes League and the Scottish Womens League, but if they were selected it was usually for a different event.
We still need an Assistant Manager to help Eric Fisher with the Division 2 team, it is very difficult for Eric to run two coaching sessions per evening and still try to organise the team.

Pictures of our winning team have been added to our gallery page under track and field.
The Forth Valley League runs on three Thursday evenings in early summer with the Final in September.
The league is a great introduction to competition for young athletes and although it is run under Scottish Athletics rules with graded officials it still retains a friendly and informal atmosphere.
Many thanks to all the Athletes, Officials, Coaches and Parents for another successful season.
