Given the horrendous weather not far away amazing numbers were only down from 236 to 228 finishers from last year
With just short of 300 runners on a balmy evening, this was almost a record field .
Barry Craighead, along with the Council Development officer organised the event within the budget over the last few months.
Registration was in the RNLI station… so thanks to RNLI and all the experienced ladies who handled the numbers and took the cash.
Officials were managed by Dave Cairns and Alex Jackson and featured several EAC stalwarts
Stewards mainly EAC and some Carnethy chums were organised again by Lyndsay Fraser
The local Police officer quietly guided stewards on road crossings
First Aid were quiet despite the heavy rain easing off making the course a tad greasy .
The Robin Morris memorial trophy was presented by Roz Morris , harbour side to this year’s Trotter winner, Tom Martyn.
Thanks to all who helped in this club event which we think first took place in 1960
