Race 2: 8th May 2021

Another Saturday in May 2021 means one thing – the time had come for another hearty group of EAC runners to trash themselves around the Meadows, all with the aim of covering a GPS “5k” as quickly as possible.

With IMaC and I on pace making duties for 18 and 19 minutes lots of fast time were recorded and a few pbs were shattered along the way – particular congrats to Morven who took a good few minutes out of her previous best at a Parkrun in the good old days when they were a thing.

The randomness of the finishing point still continues to give a bit of confusion, although now that we’ve had a few runs it seems to be that most people are finishing close to where Garry was standing in the videos from the last outing.

An updated provisional leader board is attached to include Group 2 and a few virtual entrants which have come my way – I’ve tried to interpret the times from a mixture of Strava and watching the videos, though if anything looks dodgy let me know.

Race 2: 15th May 2021

I won’t be about this weekend, but in my absence Becca Astridand Iain Craven   will be setting the pace for Wave 3.

Latest list I have is in the pic attached – as always if anything looks wrong please let me know and for a reminder the timings for the day are as follows;

8:30 – 8:40 => Meet at Green Hut

8:45 => Warm up jog to Start Line

9:00 => 5k Start

Seeing a few EAC clubmates dotted around the course again gave a welcome boost time out so if you’re able to come along to support our athletes please make your way to the park.
