Scottish Junior 4 x 100m Relay Championships – Pitreavie, 18 July 2010

The highlight of a successful day at the Scottish Junior Relay Championships was a new Scottish record for the Under 13 Boys   4 x 100m.
The team of Felipe Alves, Silvano Marcantonio, Craig Lennie and Kingsley Cunningham took more than half a second off the previous record in a time of 51.79 seconds in winning their heat by over 5 seconds. They went on to win the final quite easily but could not improve on their heat time.
This was followed by wins for the Under 15 boys and Under 17 men to give us a clean sweep of the male events.
In the girls events our Under 15 team ran well to take the silver medal behind a good Pitreavie team. Overall we won 3 Golds and 1 silver in the 6 events.
