Scottish National Athletics League

Good luck to all our athletes competing in the first Scottish League match this weekend.

I am pleased to forward the final information for the first Scottish league match on Saturday 13th April  at Grangemouth.  There are 497 athletes entered so parking will be tight.  There is additional parking at the back of the stadium, which you can access by continuing straight on rather than taking the left turn to the stadium.  You then take the first left.

Declarations – will close one hour prior to each event and at 14:30pm.  The final timetable is attached.  All athletes must report to declarations to sign in and be issued with their bib number. This is the bib number you will use for all 4 matches so worth holding on to.   Declarations are located in the last room on the right off the main corridor. (same as last year). Please ensure you have eight pins with you.

Field events – all athletes will have three attempts with the top eight athletes being given a further three trials in single age group events. Where there are mixed age groups the top two in each age group plus the next best athletes to make eight will get a further three attempts. This will not apply to the U17 athletes named below  who will only receive three attempts.

U17W Shot – eight athletes will compete with the U20/SW receiving THREE trials.

Emilia Worley, Madeline Russell, Eva Corns, Alexia Moir, Isla Hutton, Meda Maria Reivytis, Aneesah King Outacha, Kayleigh Sim

U17M Long Jump – nine athletes will compete with the U20/SM receiving THREE trials

Alan Leitch, Jamie Turner, Nicholas Sim, Evan Papworth, Adam Watts, Corey Donaldson, Joshua Harmon, Alex Mann, Fergus Mitchell

Officials / volunteers – EAC has their full quota of officials for this match but if you are interested in helping out going forwards do not hesitate to get in touch with Moira Nisbet at events@edinburghac.org.uk

Entry Lists – these are now live on the Aberdeen AAC website

http://www.aaacresults.com/results/2024/Outdoors/SNAL/Match1

All races will be seeded according to PBs of athletes, who declare on the day.

Athlete Assembly – All track athletes must report to athletes assembly 10 minutes prior to their event  This is  located beyond the start line.  All field athletes must report direct to their event 20 minutes prior to the event start time to enable two warm-up trials to be completed prior to the official start time.

Results – these will be available via the Aberdeen website throughout the day.  Results will be sent to each club on the evening of the meeting to x-check.

U18 Sprint hurdles – if you are entered in the U20 hurdles and are an U18 and would prefer  to compete over U18 hurdles please let me know by the end of today  Tuesday and the league will look to see if this can be accommodated.
