Hampden : – here we come!
Scottish Schools’ Track & Field Championships are to take place this year at Hampden Park, Glasgow on the 20th & 21st June. The pupils competing will be the first athletes to experience the venue that will host the 2014 Commonwealth Games in July. It will be a wonderful experience for these young people and the event will be a bit different from usual.

C & D Group athletes will compete in a qualifying event at Grangemouth on Saturday 7th June, with the finalists getting the chance to go to Hampden Park 2 weeks later. Accreditation will be issued when the finalists are announced. There will be 2 exceptions- all Pole Vault will take place at Hampden and the Hammer competition for the younger age groups will be part of the Pentathlon Championship as usual on 14th June at Grangemouth.

A & B Group athletes will complete all rounds of their events at Hampden Park on the Friday & Saturday, 20th & 21st June.
