What a day at the races for team EAC and here’s how the story went.

Allan Hamilton wins the 60m with Cameron Tindle taking the silver, Allan runs back over to the long jump where he takes bronze finding that Gillian Cooke had won gold in the long jump collecting her 14th National title (now that’s what you call girl power). Team mate Rachel Robertson finished 2nd. Catriona Pennet then takes silver in the senior hurdles.
Then it starts again Anna Gordon and Hannah Lawler gain gold and silver in the senior pole vault and Rosie Browne (with an e) takes joint Gold in the u17 event. Round 2 – Gillian went on to win the silver in the triple jump. So Chuxx Onyia decides to go one better and wins the men’s triple jump. Not to be outdone Lucy Davidson takes silver in the u17 long jump and shot putt so Avril Jackson gains a silver in the 400. Zoe Bates takes a bronze in the senior 1500 so Max Leslie decides he may as well get one in the u17 200.
Whew, what a day for the family silverware!
Well done to ALL athletes who competed today who may have got a pb but if you didn’t – on to the next race or jump that’s what we do!
