Lynsey Sharp won Silver in the 800m in a time of 2:01.34 In a fantastic show of grit and determination, Lynsey who less 12 hours earlier was suffering a sickness and was on a drip in the Games Hospital put in a tremendous effort on the home straight to take the silver. Lynsey was determined not to let all she had been through stop her from winning a medal.

In the high jump final Janye Nisbet was 10th clearing 1.78m, Jayne’s best jump in the games was in the qualifying rounds where she cleared 1.85m

Chris O’Hare qualified for the 1500m finishing fourth in his heat, Jake Wightman who suffered a hamstring injury in training was running in the same heat and was 8th with a time of 3:43.87
