In the Diamond League meeting in Stockholm, Jake Wightman broke the 34 year old Scottish National 1000m record with a third place and a time of 2:16.27, in the same meeting Beth Dobbin broke her own 200m record with a second place and a time of 22.83.

Also in Stockholm Lynsey Sharp was 5th in the 800m with 2:02.78, In the USA Josh Kerr defending his US Collegiate title was third and in Geneva, Emily Dudgeon was 5th in the 800m with a time of 2:06.57
