Top Track and Field Club in Scotland
After the weekend’s competitions, the club are Scottish Champions for Men, Women and Young Athletes, as well as winning the Forth Valley League.
In addition the club is a major part of Team Edinburgh who were runners up in the National Junior League Northern Premier Division.
A superb season for all our athletes!!

Well Done!! to all our EAC athletes who have contributed to another excellent track & field outdoor season for the club and Team Edinburgh.
You have excelled at all levels and age groups, which is extremely encouraging for the future of the sport. (In the east coast anyway!)
While it is the athletes who have to go out and perform on the day, and the results show they have, I would like to acknowledge the efforts of the coaches and the team managers. The positive performances and resulting achievements could and would not have happened if not for the personal voluntary commitment of the coaches and team managers. To them, ‘thank you’ on behalf of the athletes.
Good luck to all the athletes travelling to Birmingham this weekend for the UKYAL Finals, and those next weekend to Derby for the NJAL Finals. I am confident you will do the club proud.
A final word to all the parents of the young athletes representing not just the club, but Scotland, in the two aforementioned finals events. Be proud of whatever results they achieve, but also ask yourself what you can do to help the club support them to even greater results. Without volunteers there is no support and ultimately no success. Think about it!!
There are so many ways you could help~:
* Assisting the Parents Committee with Social & Fund Raising events.
* Assisting with the supervision of training / coaching sessions
* Becoming a qualified coach
* Assisting with Event officiating, Track & Field, Road & Cross Country
* Becoming a qualified graded official
* Utilising your work / personal skills for the benefit of the club.
Edinburgh Athletic Club, has a proud history and a bright future. What that future is will depend greatly on the commitment of athletes, coaches, officals, and of course parents.
