UK School Games

UK School Games – Sheffield, 3-4 September
5 Edinburgh athletes were in the Scotland team at the UK School Games in Sheffield.

Seumas Thomson won Gold in the 400m Hurdles in a time of 55.35, more than 2 seconds ahead of the next athlete. He also ran a split of 50.3 in the 4 x 400m where Scotland came away with the bronze medal.

Kimberley Reed easily won the girls Hammer with an excellent throw of 55.00m. This sets her up well for the Commonwealth Youth Games next weekend.

Olivia O’Hare took the silver medal in the 800m with a time of 2.11.78, missing gold by just 8 hundredths of a second. She also got a bronze medal in the 4 x 300m relay.

John Glen ran in the Scottish 4 x 100m Relay team which took the bronze medal in a time of 42.94.

Rachael Dunn was 5th in the 3000m in a time of 10.47.08
